Inside the Wacker Dr. entrance of Willis Tower

Originally developed and named for Sears Roebuck and Co., the Willis Tower was the world's tallest building for almost 25 years. Learn how the architects met the challenges of designing this super-tall building and hear about efforts being made to retrofit the building to meet today's energy efficiency standards. We'll discuss the 5-story crown atop 311 S. Wacker Drive and how the building plays off the neighboring Willis Tower too. Together, these two buildings illustrate the major design and structural characteristics of twentieth century architecture.
