Explore the ever-changing Navy Pier! Learn how the pier has served Chicago through adaptive reuse since 1916 and why both the pier and theater are such popular tourist destinations.

Duration
2 Hours
Meet
Polk Bros Park, 600 E. Grand Ave.

For years, Navy Pier has ranked high on the list of most popular Illinois attractions. During this two-hour walk down the pier, we’ll discover what the site looked like before 1916, why the pier was constructed and what the future holds for the pier and the theater. We’ll also discuss the architectural decisions behind the pier’s newest addition: The Yard, a year-round performance venue with flexible configurations that opens in fall 2017.
